China's first-ever training base for lifesaving in nature waters debuted recently at the Xiamen-Jinmen Strait-Crossing Lifesaving Command Center. Zhao Jian, deputy director of the Swimming Administrative Center of the General Administration of Sport of China and chairman of the China Life Saving Association, attended the unveiling ceremony.

　　The Xiamen Swimming Association received a plaque during the event, which was followed by a lifesaving drill in open waters.
